Find the equation of the line such that its portion intercepted between the x-axis and y-axis is divided at the point (3,4) in the ratio 2:3.

On January 24th, 2010 Structure says:

Let

$$\frac{x}{a}+\frac{y}{b}=1$$

line by cutting points.
By your conditions and similarity you must have

$$\frac{3}{a}=\frac{3}{5}$$
$$\frac{4}{b}=\frac{2}{5}$$

You have a=5 and b=10 so line has equation $ 2x+y=10 $
